STEP 1:  Find yourself an amazing, licensed agent to team up with on your home buying adventure.

 

STEP 1.5:  We like to call this the "Knowledge is Power" Step.   We suggest that all of our clients get familiar with their "financial health" and obtaining a free copy of their credit report prior to reaching out to a lender.  Information on how to obtain your free report can be found on the Federal Trade Commission's website.  Look over the information contained within the report and the scores provided by the three reporting agencies - if there aren't any surprises, you're on STEP 2 - Loan Pre-Qualification.

 

STEP 2:  Now before anyone goes and falls in love with the wrong house, please reach out to a licensed mortgage lender to obtain a Loan Pre-Qualification so we know exactly what a lender will underwrite for your home loan.  We'll need this before we tour any homes and before any offers are written.  You may have a lender or loan officer that you already work with, if so, that's great!  If not, any of the references below come highly recommended from our team!  You'll be asked to provide a whole lot of financial information when you fill out your application, so I suggest reaching out to them directly via email or phone to understand what you'll need with you when it comes time to complete your application.
